Flowers have this amazing healing power. They can express the things where words are not sufficient. They bring joy, celebrate love, offer condolences, help us to honor those we have lost and so much more.
Flowers are what saved me, brought me back from burn out, and healed my heart.
I grew up working in horticulture, starting at the young age of 14 working for a few local families in the greenhouse/garden center industry in Kansas City. I eventually declared a horticulture major upon entering college. But as fate would have it (and my music book wielding opera singing voice teacher), I made a left turn and followed my other passion of music, spending 15 years building the successful careers of country music artists. In 2017, I closed my promotion and marketing business in Nashville, and along with my husband, returned home and to my passion for flowers. It wasn’t that simple … it’s been a super long road to this place but, through commercially growing flowers and seeing the joy they bring to you, I’ve found joy too.
I am an explorer and adventurer at heart with an obsession for all colorful living things. So it should be no surprise that I design with COLOR. I believe that God made all of these amazing beautiful colors and textures - we should use them! I make no apologies for my bold, often unconventional and colorful arrangements, preferring bouquets bursting with color over muted or all white pallets.
Most importantly, I am committed to being a part of the “slow flower” movement bringing fresh locally-grown flowers to dinner tables, weddings and events across the region.
