Floral Designer + Shopkeeper
Bel Fiore Co. Flower Bar + Boutique is seeking an experienced, energetic and hard-working team member who aids in creating floral designs, fulfilling orders, and in assisting our customers in creating bouquets from our flower bar. This position is part-time with a minimum of 4 days a week including 2 to 3 Saturdays a month. Special shopping events are required such as Small Business Saturday. Hours will fluctuate with the season. (We are open to hiring a full-time designer for the right candidate with experience).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processing flowers for storage and for designs.
Prep weekly materials for bouquets and arrangements.
Follow floral design recipes for orders as prescribed by Angela and be able to follow our colorful signature style.
Be comfortable with foam-free floral design. Our company is completely foam free.
Be quick and efficient, organized in fulfilling orders
Assisting with floral design workshops, including setup and cleanup
Re-shelving and organizing clean vases/containers
Sweeping and tidying, including sanitizing scissors and work surfaces
Assisting with cleaning flower cooler and rotating buckets according to harvest date
Be able to merchandise on the go to keep the store fresh and tidy.
Assist customers with their floral purchases from the flower bar.
Be able to wrap up a gorgeous looking bouquet ready for gifting.
Assist with plant selections in the store.
Help care for plants and succulents in the store.
Be passionate about local and American grown flowers.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a daily basis
Must be ok standing, lifting, and bending for extended periods of time. .
Must have access to reliable transportation to our store in Downtown Lee’s Summit - even in winter.
Must be able to work 3 to 4 weekdays, and several Saturdays monthly, especially during our holiday season.
Must possess effective and positive communication skills
Must be organized, detailed, and committed to efficiency
Must be goal-oriented and self-motivated in order to work independently
Prior design experience is a must for this position.
Compensation is commensurate with experience with a starting range of $18 to $20+ an hour.

Shop Worker - Week Days /Saturdays
Bel Fiore Co. is seeking an energetic, joyful, creative, flower and plant loving person to assist customers at our brand new flower bar and boutique. This position is part-time and requires Saturdays in addition to a few week days if able. Special shopping events are required such as Small Business Saturday. Hours will fluctuate with the season. We occasionally host workshops in the evenings and on Sundays .
RESPONSIBILITIES:
You are the first person a Bel Fiore Flower Friend sees when they enter the store. Your job is to greet our friend and help guide them through our flower bar or in choosing an arrangement, gift, or plant.
Ability to craft a bouquet and learn our bouquet wrapping and arranging techniques.
Assist with incoming orders.
Set up or take down the flower bar each day, keeping flowers fresh and hydrated for our flower friend guests.
Assisting with floral design workshops, including setup and cleanup
Sweeping and tidying, including sanitizing scissors and work surfaces
Be able to merchandise on the go to keep the store fresh and tidy.
Assist with plant selections in the store.
Help care for plants and succulents in the store.
Assist with new shipments that come in of merchandise and/or our local vendors.
Learn and get to know our different product lines from local and women owned businesses.
Have a passion for local and American grown flowers and be able to share that love and knowledge with our guests.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a daily basis

Delivery Driver
Bel Fiore Co. is seeking a part-time delivery driver. You LOVE delivering colorful joy to flower friends around the Lee’s Summit / KC area. Currently we need assistance a few afternoons a week with preference toward Thursdays and Fridays. We are seeking someone available 10-15 hrs a week. Hours will fluctuate with the season.
A few requirements:
Safe driving record
Ability to use a delivery driving app
Ability to problem solve on the go (for example if someone isn’t home, a vase tips over, a snafu happens)
Your own reliable vehicle. Currently we do not have a delivery vehicle. We do compensate for milage.
Compensation is hourly plus compensation for milage.
