Do you offer same day delivery?
YES! Same day orders must be placed by noon. If you need flowers sooner, please visit us in store. We do not deliver on Sundays or Mondays when we are closed. And sadly, we don't ship flowers.
Where Do you deliver?
We deliver within 20 miles of the store for $12 dollars. Please see our delivery options and policies here.
Does your selection of flowers available on your flower bar or for order change?
Yes. We pride ourselves on sourcing the freshest blooms possible. We are focused on seasonality. You won't find a sunflower in the shop in January or a peony in September.
Can we make special requests?
Absolutely. We will do our best to honor requests for certain colors or flowers, however due to the nature of how we source and order, the more advance notice we have the higher the likelihood is we can fulfill your request. For example, we may not have purple flowers, but if we have a few days to source them, we can ask our local farms and suppliers for flowers in the perfect shade of purple. One important thing to note - we rarely have white flowers on hand and do not design all white arrangements. One of our core values is our belief that God created all of these wonderful colors so that we design with them!
How many stems are in a particular bouquet or arrangement?
It varies. We create our bouquets based on value and not stem count. A small flower can easily be more expensive than a larger flower. For example, ranunculus though small are a more expensive flower (because they are costly, labor intensive to grow) than say a spray rose or a sunflower.
Can we order a bouquet of straight red roses?
At Bel Fiore Co. our style is very garden-inspired. We prefer to design using lots of different types of flowers in different shapes, colors, and textures. We also think that a dozen red roses with babies breath is kinda boring. 1984 called and wants that back.
Do you grow all of your flowers?
While we wish we could, we've never been able to produce enough flowers from our growing to meet the demands of our flower friends (what we call our customers). We are very focused on sourcing local and American grown blooms. We have relationships with growers here locally in KC, in the bi-state area and throughout the country.
From April to October a large majority of what we have is locally sourced. We do source from trusted suppliers and do bring in foreign grown product. We found that Fedex and other shipping methods were very unreliable for us during hot and cold times of the year leading to thousands of dollars of flower loss. That said, we really trust our wholesalers who know how important origin is to us. Additionally, we are focused on seasonality meaning we won't bring in a foreign sunflower in the dead of winter from another country.
How long will my flowers last?
Every flower has it's own lifespan. Some flowers like Lisianthus last for up to 2 weeks. Dahlias are a 5 day flower tops. In general you should be enjoying flowers for around 7 days and even longer if you properly care for them. See our flower care page here.
Can we visit your farm?
Our main farm is at our private residence and our other farm location is also private. For privacy concerns and for insurance reasons, we do not allow farm visits.
Do you flower for weddings and events?
Yes. You must love color and texture, value American grown blooms, and true artistry. Head over to our to our weddings and events page. If you think we would be a good fit, please fill out our inquiry form.
What does “Bel Fiore” mean and how do you say it?
‘Bel Fiore’ is a nod to Angela’s Italian heritage meaning “beautiful flower”
Pronounced ”BELL - FEE - OAR - EE”
Are you hiring?
We are not currently hiring. When we have positions open we will have them listed on our careers page.
How do I inquire about a donation for our organization or event?
As a small family owned business, we can not feasibly donate to every request (we receive dozens each week) and so have decided to focus our limited resources on organizations and causes near and dear to our heart here in our community. That said, we are not accepting requests at this time.
