Summer Garden Wedding at Longview Mansion Kansas City

Jordan and Brad got married on one of Kansas City's hottest summer days, but their light and fluffy garden florals definitely added to the gentle breeze at their Longview Mansion Wedding.

A little pink and blush can go a LONG way when added to white. 
We tend not to do soft color palettes here, but this one has become a favorite. Jordan bravely trusted us to take her idea of a all white and eucalyptus green wedding and add some blush hues beside some soft pinks and dusty soft mauve colors. Adding these hues broke up the white and allowed those blooms and their petals to shine at the wedding AND in the photos. 

Being a no-foam floral studio, we have to find ways to get flowers to last even in our crazy Midwest summer heat! We pre-hydrated blooms for the arbor and meadow pieces, used smilax, and mixed in faux real-touch hydrangeas to create florals that could take the heat! 

We came back at 7 PM - after the flowers had been in the sun for over 6 hours - and took the base of the arbor which were stand-alone meadow trays and repurposed them to in front of the sweetheart table. We then took the 2 meadows that were at the start of the aisle and moved those to on top of 2 pedestals on either side of the couple's table. We are are ALL about flowers that do double duty! 

The best part - getting to know this wonderful family. Jordan is the close friend of another one of our brides. Their Moms are friends. Now I get to see both Moms together at events through our store and occasionally, their beautiful daughters. 

We are so grateful to have been a part of their big day at one of Kansas City's most beautiful and special places, Longview Mansion.
