Boutique / Operations Manager

We are actively seeking a proactive, energetic, and warm Boutique Shop Manager to assist with the day-to-day store operations and to be the right-hand of store owners.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Act as a key partner to the owner by providing consistent updates on store performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and implementing the owner's directives efficiently.
• Oversee all aspects of store operations to ensure a smooth-running, profitable store. This includes daily operations, daily flower production, delivery management, financial transactions, and staff scheduling.
• Maintain an organized, clean store environment that is inviting to customers and conducive to efficient operations.Take initiative in identifying and implementing methods for improving store performance and efficiency. This includes proposing new sales techniques, optimizing store layouts, or enhancing customer service processes.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to all patrons, managing and handling inquiries and complaints, providing product recommendations, and developing strategies to improve customer retention and loyalty.
• Oversee our vast collection of decor and gifts and manage inventory through our Shopify system. Create and maintain attractive visual displays and merchandising to drive sales and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for our customers.
• Flowering: Every team member is expected to be able to create a bouquet or arrangement in our signature garden-inspired colorful style. As the store manager you will assist with bouquet production, oversee the flower bar and ensure it is stocked and fresh at all times. Flower knowledge is a plus, but we will train the right person who is enthusiastic to learn about flowers, identification, care, and use in design. 

Required Qualifications

• Retail/Customer Service Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GMail & Google Workspace
• Background/Familiarity with Shopify POS and Online
• Experience in floristry is preferred, but is not required. Someone who is creative and has an eye for detail would be an ideal candidate.

Competitive pay - starting at $18-24 an hour

Paid biweekly

Schedule: Day shift - Monday to Friday; Weekend availability (1-2 Saturdays per month)

Hours per week: 32-40 hours per week with required overtime during our busiest times - Valentine's Day and Mother's Day.

Seasonal, Part-Time Shopkeeper

As we gear up for our busy retail season (September - December) we are seeking a seasonal, part-time person to join our team.

As a Shopkeeper you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Assist customers with their floral purchases from the flower bar and all purchases in general.
• Be able to wrap up a gorgeous looking bouquet ready for gifting.
• Assist with plant selections in the store.
• Help care for plants and succulents in the store.
• Help take orders both in store and on the phone. 
• Assist with general merchandising and organizing.  
• Processing flowers for storage and for designs.
• Prep weekly materials for bouquets and arrangements as needed.
• Assisting with floral design workshops, including setup and cleanup.
• Re-shelving and organizing clean vases/containers.
• Sweeping and tidying, including sanitizing scissors and work surfaces.
• Assisting with cleaning flower cooler and rotating buckets according to harvest date.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a daily basis. (We lift lots of buckets with water.)
• Ok with standing, lifting, and bending for extended periods of time.
• Have access to reliable transportation to our store in Downtown Lee’s Summit - even during winter.
• Able to work weekdays, and occasional Saturdays, especially during our holiday season.
• Possess effective and positive communication skills.
• Organized, detailed, and committed to efficiency.
• Goal-oriented and self-motivated in order to work independently.
